Explore a scoped live brief, speak to users, write interface content and test a clickable prototype. Use feedback to revise the design.
You make: A tested prototype with decisions you can explain.

Build with AI
Weeks 9–12+
Understand HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Build responsive layouts, inspect AI-generated changes and debug interactions. Explore components and APIs as the project needs them.
You make: A working core flow, not just a screenshot.
The learning roadmap stays consistent. Live briefs and tools adapt to the work. Practice, review and assessment shape each student's outcome.

WHAT THE WORK COULD LOOK LIKE
Small enough to ship. Useful enough to matter.
These example briefs show the level and shape of the work. Your team's live brief is assigned around real requirements, available scope and project permissions.
organise the messy bitsEXAMPLE BRIEF
A course enquiry tracker
The problem: Enquiries get scattered across messages, and follow-ups are easy to miss.
The build: A responsive tool to record an enquiry, capture course interest, update its status and identify the next action.
Practise
Forms, clear labels, lists, filtering, JavaScript state and responsive layouts.
Review
Can someone enter an enquiry, find it again and know what to do next?
make the next step obviousEXAMPLE BRIEF
A service booking experience
The problem: Customers struggle to understand availability and complete a booking request.
The build: A mobile-first flow to choose a service, enter the required details and see a clear request confirmation.
Practise
User research, Figma flows, interface copy, validation and error states.
Review
Can a user complete the flow and recover from missing or incorrect information?
give AI a useful jobEXAMPLE BRIEF
An AI-assisted brief organiser
The problem: Unstructured requirements make it hard to agree on what a project needs.
The build: A focused flow where AI helps draft a structured brief that a person can edit and approve.
Practise
Structured inputs, AI-output evaluation, API concepts and human-review interactions.
Review
Can someone spot an incorrect assumption, correct it and approve the result?
Illustrative project directions, not completed student projects or a promise that each student builds all three. Use sample data while learning; real integrations and deployment require appropriate technical review.
Something useful, out in the world.
The milestone: a working product you can test, explain and improve.
WELCOME TO THE LEARNING STUDIO
Real briefs. Real feedback. Your contribution.
Every student contributes to supervised live projects through Formant Systems.
Work in a team with a project owner, defined deliverables and review milestones. Briefs may come from internal products, approved clients or partner organisations.
Each batch tackles available real needs. Your portfolio documents what you did, how you used AI, and what changed after feedback.
Studio work is supervised learning. It is not paid employment, a paid internship or a placement guarantee. Client portfolio publication requires permission.
HOW FEEDBACK BECOMES PROGRESS
Make a first version. Then make it stronger.
Learning happens in the revisions. Your work should show what changed after research, critique and testing—not only the final screen.
01
Explain the decision
Show the problem, who it affects and why you chose this approach.
02
Review the experience
Check the flow, content, visual hierarchy, accessibility basics and mobile layout.
03
Inspect the build
Walk through the code and AI-assisted changes. Find broken behaviour and discuss how to fix it.
04
Revise & show evidence
Apply feedback, retest and document your individual contribution and remaining limitations.
Founder-led design critique is central to the program. Confirm the batch's review schedule, topic instructors and technical-review arrangements with admissions.
SHOW THE WORK, NOT JUST THE CERTIFICATE
Leave with something you can open and explain.
01. the thinking
A product case study
The problem, research, flows, design decisions and testing—presented clearly.
02. the making
A working web product
A scoped, responsive build with a usable core flow and documented fixes.
03. the story
A launch & demo
A landing page, short demonstration and focused creative assets that explain the value.
Practise presenting your decisions, walking through your build and explaining your individual contribution—including where teammates and AI tools helped. Use this evidence to prepare for junior design opportunities and, where your coding skills meet employer requirements, frontend internships or junior UI-development roles.
There is no guaranteed placement or employment outcome. These are assessed learning goals, not automatic results. Your progress depends on practice, completed assignments and applying feedback.
FIND YOUR STARTING POINT
You don't need a perfect start. You need to participate.
This course is for learners who want to practise design and AI-assisted building together, with feedback on what they make.
A good fit if you…
Are a student or graduate exploring digital product work.
Are new to design or coding and ready to learn the fundamentals.
Already create visuals and want to build usable experiences.
Can practise between sessions, explain your choices and revise your work.
Know before you join
You will need regular access to a laptop or desktop and reliable internet for online learning. A phone alone is not enough for the design and development assignments.
Ask admissions for the exact device specifications, software costs and practice commitment before booking.
This is a practical learning program. It is not a placement guarantee or a shortcut to advanced software-engineering expertise.
THE QUESTION EVERYONE'S ASKING
“If AI can make it, why should I learn?”
Because making something is just the beginning.
Is it useful? Does the flow make sense? What happens when it breaks?
Learn to recognise good work. Then learn to make it better.
At Skill IQ, you practise product thinking, UI/UX and development fundamentals while building with AI. You learn to question the output, test your assumptions and explain your decisions.
Content is part of the product, too: the words on a button, the first-use experience, the launch page and the demo that helps someone understand what you made.
your idea belongs out here.
A REAL PROBLEM
“How can we make this easier to use?”
ask before you build

THE IDEA IS ONLY THE START
Make it useful. Make it work. Make it yours.
Go from a real question to a tested experience. Use AI to build faster, then check the result against the brief.

A PERSON BEHIND THE PROMISE
Hi, I'm Sandeep. Let's make better work.
I'm a UI/UX, web and graphic designer with experience leading creative teams, directing execution and reviewing design quality.
I built Skill IQ around a simple belief: you learn by making, explaining your choices and improving with feedback.
I lead the learning direction and design critique, with employee support for selected topics. Ask us how teaching and technical reviews are organised for your batch.
